多位国际导演应邀拍摄《我爱巴黎》，并各自以巴黎的二十个行政区作背景，编写和导演一部片长五分钟的短片，藉此歌颂「浪漫」这个永远受欢迎的主题。
巴黎电影艺术有覑精彩的悠久历史，但偏偏于这次制作之中，主要旨在展现这个城巿「今日」的面貌，而非缅怀过去；电影更希望成功摆脱巴黎固有的「明信片」形象，将一些从未在大银幕上出现的小城大事，揭露人前。《我爱巴黎》介绍各种社会阶层，不同年代、文化和生活环境的人。
