来年６月に公開予定の東京五輪公式記録映画で監督を務める河瀨直美さん。コロナ禍以前の２０１９年７月に取材を始め、撮影した映像は５０００時間以上。今月、編集作業に入った。開催を巡り賛否の声がぶつかりあった五輪が私たちの社会に残したものとはなにか。その問いへの答えを探そうと、河瀨さんは膨大な映像素材と向き合っている。長期にわたる密着取材に加え、記録映画の素材も用いながら河瀨さんの知的格闘を描く。
