Kidnap Syndicate may not be the all action thrill ride that describes many of the Polizi flicks, but this is still an excellent example of the genre, and one that delivers a little more than just car chases and shootouts. As the title suggests, the film focus on the profitable business of kidnapping, and director Fernando Di Leo does an excellent job of showing the horror of th...
Just released ex- convict Guido watches his girlfriend get killed on the way home from prison. He thinks the killing is connected with the events that led to him going to jail five years back. Gangster'70 takes elements from John Hustons The Asphalt Jungle and Stanley Kubrick's The Killing and combines them into a brutal and at times sadistic heist story. It is mainly watchable for the wardrobe, the set design, the quirky camera angles and the new age editing. The heist is interesting as the gangsters force a passenger plane to make an unscheduled stop in Rome by the...
Charming movie. Fun and entertaining poliziottesco that doesn't take itself too serious. Sadly, it didn't turn out to be the undiscovered gem that I was desiring to see (with the recent popularity towards for Italian cinema, I assume all the greatest films ...

While this usually works with gialli (and some would say cannibal and zombie films)it is often problem in the Italian crime films where the set pieces usually involve shoot-outs and overlong c...
